Finding Calm Through Calligraphy -Calligraphy in Osaka
It's been quite a while since our last update, but during the Expo period, we had the pleasure of spending wonderful moments with people from many countries. Now, as we welcome the autumn foliage season, I wanted to share some thoughts while greeting our visitors.
Express Yourself Through Calligraphy
At our calligraphy experience, we invite everyone to freely choose the words they want to write. During the session, you can write as many thoughts as come to mind. Rather than simply copying an existing example, you express what you feel in that moment—so every piece is unique.
Stories Behind the Words
We always like to ask, “Why did you choose that word?” and hear the story behind it. Each story is different, and we often find ourselves inspired and learning from them. Writing unfamiliar words with a brush on a blank sheet of paper might seem like a simple Japanese-style activity, but it can actually help you express your feelings and leave you with a warm sense of calm.
A Moment to Calm Your Mind
In my daily work in mental health, I often notice how being in a new place or constantly on the move can leave both the mind and body feeling a little tense. From this perspective, spending a few moments writing freely with a brush on blank paper can help thoughts settle, offering a gentle pause—a small space to reconnect with yourself and feel calm.
