We feel that the cherry blossoms in the park right in front of GINSHO SHOIN will likely be at their best around the middle of next week.

This park is a quiet and much-loved local spot for cherry blossoms, offering a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.

Seasonal Traditions at Our Studio

At our studio, we are also displaying hina dolls throughout this month to welcome our guests.

The hina dolls we have at home were purchased when I was born — 50 years ago. Now, as an adult, I see them differently. The delicacy of their faces, the fine details of their kimono, and the quiet elegance of their presence feel even more beautiful to me. Perhaps because of that, I find myself wanting to sit and look at them for a long time.

If you visit us for a calligraphy experience, you will be able to see the dolls as well.

We hope you will enjoy not only writing with brush and ink, but also experiencing the quiet beauty of seasonal Japanese traditions.

We look forward to welcoming more guests this year, and hope that through these small cultural exchanges, people can experience a little bit of Japan’s heart and spirit.

About the Experience at Ginsho Shoin, Calligraphy in Osaka

Nestled in a peaceful traditional house in Sumiyoshi, Osaka, our calligraphy sessions are guided by Master GINSHO, who has over 60 years of experience.

🕰️ Session Time: 90 minutes

🎌 Language: English and Japanese-friendly

🧁 Includes: Japanese tea and seasonal Japanese sweets

💴 Fee: Adults ¥5,000 / Children under 15 ¥3,500 (all materials included)

10% of your fee goes to support disaster relief efforts in Japan
